Ministry Description |
First Congregational United Church of Christ, located in Menomonie, Wisconsin, seeks an innovative leader with a mature Christian faith to serve as our Minister for Children, Youth and Families. First Congregational UCC is a progressive and vital Christian community of 350+ members. We are known for our passion for spirituality and the arts, a commitment to justice and service, and a desire to create an environment welcoming to all. We have a history of vital children’s programming and are seeking ways to continue to effectively serve families with children in a changing world. The Minister for Children, Youth and Families (MCYF) is expected to develop and lead faith-based learning and spiritual programming for the children, youth, and families of the church. This will involve building on currently successful offerings as well as exploring new forms of family-oriented ministry. The MCYF will work with the Ordained Minister, the Christian Education Committee and other volunteers and committees to implement Sunday activities for children and families, oversee our Wednesday after school program, coordinate our monthly Messy Church program, plan and teach 6th and 7th grade confirmation and develop intergenerational outreach and activities for children, youth and families.
