Ministry Description |
Christ Church, UCC, is the compassionate and geographic heart of the community of Orrville, Ohio. The congregation is engaged in a healthy transition from a wonderful long-term pastorate. We are embracing the pastoral search process and concurrent self-evaluation with enthusiasm, excitement and hope. Vibrant is a good word to describe our church, as our full profile demonstrates. Mission work and service to others is a constant, conducted with joy and fellowship. Worship includes children, youth and young families, wonderful music, and usually some laughter. We are looking for a teacher and nurturing friend to shepherd our faith journey; and a safe mentor and role model with whom to share the raising of our children. Rather than seeking a pastor with all the right answers, we are looking for someone to teach us the right questions - someone to lead, learn and grow with us. We need sermons that challenge us, inspire lunch conversation, and linger with us through each week. God has a plan for our church. Are you a part of that plan? |
