First United Church of Christ of sunny Orlando Florida seeks a caring, vision-oriented Pastor to journey with us and achieve our vision of becoming the most effective, inclusive, progressive, Open and Affirming Christian ministry in Central Florida. We believe in the acceptance and equality of all of God’s children regardless of age, color, economic class, language, sexual orientation and theological position. Our ministry today includes feeding the hungry, providing affordable goods at our Thrift Store, and providing handmade items to nursing homes and hospitals. We seek growth of our membership as well as increased ministry to our local community – and the world. Orlando, Florida is a diverse, multi-ethnic city located in central Florida and the county seat of Orange County. It is the third largest metropolitan area in the state. Orlando is blessed with employment opportunities in areas of hospital/medicine, technology, engineering, manufacturing, entertainment, and tourist industries. We also enjoy thriving art, sports and social activities. God is still speaking – and we are listening with open minds, hearts and souls. We seek God’s blessing of THE pastor who will walk with us on our journey to achieve our vision, grow our congregation, and minister to our community and the world. |
