Salem UCC, Columbia, an Open and Affirming congregation is ready to take the next steps in engaging their local community in Lancaster County, PA. Columbia is a town situated on the Susquehanna River (which serves as the border between York and Lancaster counties). Community members hold to a proud history while recognizing current conditions, including increasing diversity and poverty, as important realities for local congregations to address. The congregation shares its facilities with a multi-cultural congregation and has been looking at ways to partner with them. This half-time ministry is an excellent opportunity for bi-vocational as well as cooperative ministry. |
