Ministry Description |
Members of St. Luke's possess a variety of talents, and are fortunate to have a congregation with leadership dedicated to seeking new ways in which to share the Good News of Jesus Christ in these changing times. We look for a leader who will actively engage the congregation in the stewardship of all the resources God has entrusted to us. It is anticipated that the next pastor will be an integral component in the growth that St. Luke's is poised to experience. We are seeking a pastor who is a strong evangelist, experienced in growing or redeveloping a church, grounded in Biblical theology but able to relate to today's society. This will require the candidate to have a strong grasp on technology and familiarity with social media and networking. New and different ways to engage multiple generations are sought. We believe the community around St. Luke's is "ripe for the picking" but needs a leader with gifts for evangelical outreach. Worship services/sermons should be relevant to members' everyday challenges. We have faith that our new pastor will serve a vital role in empowering and mentoring our congregation. She/he will lead us to grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ, live out God's mission in the world, and be committed to St. Luke's mission: Centered in God, guided by His Word, we share Christ's love with all. |
