Ministry Description |
St. John’s United Church of Christ, Kutztown, PA, aims to celebrate, explore, and grow in our love of God and one another through worship, fellowship and service. We are joyfully calling a new pastor who will spiritually guide us in growth and expansion of our congregation and services to others in Christ and effectively lead us into the future. We are looking forward with a great deal of faith to discover a candidate who exemplifies abilities to touch people's lives with warmth, compassion, understanding and devotion in Christ through meaningful Sunday services and Christian guidance throughout the week. Our new full-time pastor can expect the support of our consistory, groups, and committees as we work together to strengthen and support the Faith of our congregation, both those who attend regularly and those in retirement homes and shut-ins. In worship we use a variety of traditional and contemporary worship forms enhanced by a very active music department. Kutztown is located in Berks County in the southeast region of Pennsylvania, about 90 minutes from Philadelphia and 2 hours from New York City. Berks County offers a wide range of recreational and family activities and is served by excellent schools. Kutztown is also home to Kutztown University, which offers appealing cultural events and provides additional resources to our community. We look forward to calling an energetic, inspiring, and welcoming pastor to St. John’s. |
