Ministry Description |
Fairfield Glade is a resort and retirement community (fairfieldglade.cc.) located on the beautiful Plateau of the Cumberland Mountains in Tennessee. Our members come from all parts of the country, many different denominations, and all walks of life. Our members are active participants in the recreational and cultural activities in Fairfield Glade and the surrounding community. We are a warm and welcoming congregation that is known in this community as the “Friendly Church”. Our Pastor should willingly project that spirit of friendliness to our members, potential members, and visitors. Our church is a congregation led, Board governed church. All administrative duties, personnel, and supervision of committees, are the responsibility of the elected Board. The Pastor we are seeking will lead our inter-denominational church in spiritual guidance with compassion, understanding, and care for our congregation. The Pastor will be responsible for the traditional ministerial duties: worship, spiritual guidance and growth, counseling, and interaction in the church community. Because of our senior population, the Pastor must be comfortable with and dedicated to serve and work with an aging membership. There will be many visits to members who are home-bound, hospitalized or in medical care facilities in East Tennessee, providing them with compassionate spiritual care. We have a strong Stephen Ministry that will be an invaluable aid to our new Pastor. We participate in many local missions by giving, volunteering, and spearheading projects. We enjoy taking part in the work and fellowship activities of our church. We are interested in a Pastor who will partner with our church family and help us to continue to grow spiritually and in our membership. |
