Ministry Description |
St. John’s United Church of Christ Farmersville was founded in 1846 in a small farming community of Farmersville, PA. We are a 269 member church, with a contemporary and traditional service. Average attendance is 91. We are located in a beautiful stone church, which is in a great location in the Lehigh Valley (Allentown, Bethlehem, & Easton) area – close to New York City, The Pocono Mountains, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and the Atlantic Shoreline.
We are seeking a full time pastor who will be committed to the life of our church – its members and its surrounding community. All of our pastors have had long terms of service with us Pastor Unger served over 27 years. Pastor Reiman resigned abruptly for personal reasons unrelated to our church. He was with us for over a year.
The pastor needs to be a strong leader, visible and motivating to our various groups
We would like to grow our church in many ways – spiritually, expand mission causes, membership, community outreach, and member involvement. We would like to increase our lay-led ministries and need the pastor to take a lead role in this activity.
The salary and housing allowance will be between $52,127 to $57,093 and benefits between $31,363 and $32,530 making the total compensation package between $83,490 and $89,623 based on our Penn Northeast Conference guidelines.
We would like a pastor who helps us continually answer the question about how our congregation can help build the Body of Christ? What is the best use of our congregation’s time, talent and resources for God’s kingdom?
