Ministry Description |
Salem UCC is a small, diverse congregation with a tremendous embrace of love for our neighbors. We are black, brown, red, white, and yellow. We are cisgender, gay, bi, trans, queer, married, single, and with families of young children. We are society. Salem believes that our neighbor, as Jesus said in Luke 10, is everyone. There is no distinction for race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, social status, age, or ability. Salem’s mission statement espouses a worldview of peace, which includes support for all people, championing diversity, and living authentically without fear of reproach, as we are all children of God. We seek an interim leader to shepherd our laity and staff as we discern God’s will for our congregation in service to the wider community. |
