Ministry Description |
Established in 1876, Central Congregational Church (CCC) United Church of Christ of Chelmsford, MA is seeking a full time ordained Settled Pastor to lead its members in worship and spiritual growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep personal life in Christ and the character that aligns with our church’s overall mission and vision. CCC is an active and vibrant community where everyone is welcome and has strong and outstanding lay ministries and support staff. The right candidate would readily support the congregation’s high interest/high commitment themes for moving forward: Worship, Inclusivity, Fellowship, and Mission. The Settled Pastor would use their organizational, leadership, and communication skills to provide meaningful, uplifting, inspirational worship services and sermons to carry the members of all ages through the week. The right candidate would lead worship with care and compassion, humility and levity, truth and righteousness. Music is a key component in worship with hymns that blend with religious seasons and weekly themes. CCC is blessed with a talented music director, choir, and bell choir. The church fills quickly with members and community residents for the annual Christmas and Easter concerts. Through Bible teachings and collaboration with the Christian Education Committee, the Settled Pastor contributes to the spiritual needs of our youth on their faith journeys, and supports adult Christian education, such as ChristCare. CCC is an Open and Affirming church, and its Inclusivity programs include those with disabilities. The ideal candidate would provide and support fellowship by visiting the homebound and those hospitalized. The Settled Pastor has the opportunity to support and participate in the many active missions CCC supports throughout the community and region. They would use their social skills and visible community involvement to establish relationships with other local clergy and community leaders and to grow the church membership. |
