Ministry Description |
St. Paul UCC is a congregation that is continuously working to grow and evolve, while still honoring its heritage dating back to 1883. The people at the church are engaged and readily participate in the ministries and activities of the church. We currently share our in-person church services via Facebook Live (https://www.facebook.com/stpaulucctaylor/live_videos) We seek a pastor who works well with both older and younger people. We are working to grow our membership and are continuing our commitment to attract young adults and families, while serving our older members. Music plays an important role in our church; we love both traditional and modern music and have an active choir, children's choir, and handbell choir. We have a talented Associate Pastor/Christian Education Director who works with the Senior Pastor in carrying out our ministry. Our church has a large presence in our local community. We were instrumental in founding local food and homeless shelter programs (Fish & Loaves and ChristNet) and will continue to strongly support these programs. We also offer community outreach such as fish dinners, scrapbooking fairs, vacation bible school and more. We are looking for a pastor who embraces our passion for sharing God's word and doing God's work. The ability to preach and teach Biblical scripture in an engaging way is very important. We look forward to working with our next pastor to identify new and creative ways to grow our community of faith. Our next pastor should expect to play a vital role in shaping the future of our church. Our church profile is readily available. It provides additional detail on who we are and our desire to embrace a new Senior Pastor with talents and gifts that will both grow and sustain our congregation. |
