Ministry Description |
Faith Community United Church of Christ, of Bensenville, is seeking a settled, full-time Pastor. We desire a leader who can serve the present and future needs of our congregation and its diverse community. We are seeking a Spiritual Leader guided by the Holy Spirit to help us work toward the goals of the church. Our goals are to develop a strategy for membership growth and increased outreach. Our current congregation needs to be supported while we make greater connections to the neighborhood and build relationships. We aspire to thrive by becoming more contemporary and relevant while sharing Jesus’ message. Our church has a history of mission in the community that we wish to continue in a more robust fashion. We are looking for a new Pastor to be a leader, teacher, recruiter, counselor, and an inspiring preacher. We need a person who is able to embrace diversity and encourage our present members to be involved in a ministry of outreach and acceptance. We want our surrounding community to know that we are moving towards becoming an Open and Affirming church. Excited by the examples of Jesus, we strive to attract people from all walks of life. We desire our new Pastor to be vibrant and dynamic while relating to all ages. We need a teacher who will continue guiding us in the direction of inclusiveness and stewardship. |
