Ministry Description |
The Congregational Church in Killingworth is prayerfully seeking a part-time pastor for our small-town congregation with a giving heart. We have striven to serve God and each other from all points of view. Our family-centered, multi-generational congregation has traditional values yet welcomes all who wish to worship with us. An active group of leaders serves the church body with spiritual, physical, and professional labors as dedicated volunteers seek to serve the Lord through many different missions projects. Worship services are held in our beautiful 200 year old church although in warmer weather we occasionally worship in our outdoor chapel located in a peaceful wooded area near our labyrinth and Memorial Garden. We are seeking a people-oriented pastor who is able to inspire and challenge the congregation to become stronger Christians, who is an articulate speaker, and is able to provide meaningful worship that has an application in everyday life. We seek a teacher who has a gift to help us deepen our spiritual relationship with God. Finally, we’re in search of a Christian leader who is passionate about reaching young people and young families while working with lay leaders to provide pastoral support. We are in prayer for the next pastor of our congregation who will lead us into the next generation of Christ’s church. (60 active church members, with 200 members on our books.) |
